You will be using Photoshop (at least in this class) to design a comp that shows the intended design of your site. However, you will also need to organize your content. The requirements for your second site include subtopics and not all pages being immediately accessible from your homepage. So, for the first time, you'll need to have your content a bit more organized than for your first site - when every file was accessible from the homepage.

Please submit to me either a simple discussion of how your information will be organized, or attach a Word document that explains or place an html file in your modwest area that describes it.  The actual typing of your site map shouldn't be a complex or lengthy process - 15 minutes or so if you're a reasonable typist.  The time should be spend thinking through the organization of your site.  How you'd like to structure it - what topics you'd like to cover, etc.

Grading: submitting it 1%, addressing each of the 8 pages and their connection to the other pages (1/2 % each)

Example 1: I am doing a site about adoption. From the home page there will be three main divisions: international, domestic and special need adoptions. The navigation flow will look like this:

international.htm domestic.htm specialneeds.htm

picking a country (picking.htm)

adoption agencies (agencies.htm)

These 2 pages will have links to the other pages within this section and to domestic.htm, specialneeds.htm and index.htm

This page will have links to specialneeds.htm, international.htm and index.htm

choosing a disability (choosing.htm)

where to get help (help.htm)

discussion groups about specific needs (sneeds.htm)

Each of these pages will have links to the other pages within this section and to domestic.htm, international.htm and index.htm

Example 2 (The same information could be submitted like this): I am doing a site about adoption. From the home page there will be three main divisions: international, domestic and special need adoptions. From the international.htm page there will be links to two pages: picking a country (picking.htm) and adoption agencies (agencies.htm).  These 2 pages will have links to the other pages within this section and to domestic.htm, specialneeds.htm and index.htm.  The domestic.htm page will have links to specialneeds.htm, international.htm and index.htm.  And the specialneeds.htm page will have links to choosing.htm (choosing a disability), help.htm (where to get help) and sneeds.htm (discussion groups about specific needs).  Each of these pages will have links to the other pages within this section and to domestic.htm, international.htm and index.htm.
